My wife and I are both on the larger than we should be side of things.
We also have 3 kids that obviously don’t have the best genes.
So, when I started telling my kids that they couldn’t eat the free cookies at Wegmans, their response was almost like I was abusing them by denying them free cookies.
And I HATE that we can’t tell our kids’ elementary school what our kids can buy with their debit account and what they can’t buy. I wish I could say that my kids can’t by cookies and ice cream and the only thing that they can buy is like fruit and water.
But, that might cut into their profit margins…..
It’s a slippery slope, right? Like I’m getting bigger now and while it’s likely due to my metabolism slowing down and other genetic factors, there is no denying that I’d be far better off if I had better dietary habits to start with. Crushing cheese and sweets at every turn isn’t even close to high-five country…
