Who? Who, exactly, are you angry at? The “Sabres” is rather vague. Please be more specific, if you can.

Since, according to your recent postings, nobody is allowed to be angry at Terry Pegula, as the owner. After all, because he is investing millions of dollars into the area, any and all criticism of his level of competence as the owner of the local professional hockey team is off-limits. This is your position, as I understand it. Please correct me, if otherwise.

I suppose the same logic could also apply in this scenario…

A man should not be judged a bad husband and father, even if he beats his wife and abuses his children, just as long as he gives lots of money every year to local charities?

    No?

Personally, I am thrilled that Pegula is investing cash into my beloved WNY. It’s great, and deserving of praise. But do those good deeds absolve him of all guilt in regards to the poor production of his hockey team?

So, okay, if you’re not angry at Pegula, then who? Is it the players? If so, which ones, specifically? And if it is the players, is it also the man responsible for signing or re-signing those players, the General Manager? Or, is it the man responsible for teaching and guiding those players, the Head Coach? Or is it the man who supervises the entire operation, the Team President? Or is it, finally, the one man to whom all of the aforementioned answer…the Owner?

You are angry at the “Sabres”, and I should be, too. Okay.

    But exactly, who?

    • Nick says:

The players on the team for not scoring a goal, let alone the three which would’ve won the game. And it’s okay to be mad at Ruff & Regier, even if I wouldn’t fire Lindy. Also, Pegula is privy to a lot more info than the average fan as to what Regier is trying to do (trade for Rick Nash, sign Brad Richards).

I hate to say this, but, I hope the Sabres continue to tank, so that the case grows stronger and stronger to fire Ruff; Regier can go too for not firing Ruff, and for perhaps not getting players that fit his “system.” If they middle it or somehow squeak into the playoffs, it’s just going to keep this madness going. Like Lindy as a person, I played soccer with his son back in the day and he even drove me home a couple of times. Even like him as a coach… just no longer as our coach.
